BLOCKS TO BEING ON PURPOSE

What is blocking many of us from being "ON PURPOSE" or even feeling a draw to a "LIFE'S MISSION" is feeling compelled to please others and do what we are told. This starts from a baby with our parents and continues with our school teachers and religion as well. I look at very young children and see their zest and enthusiasm and joy of life. Then as we get older we get these long faces, we are tired and sick because we arent having as much fun, we dont wake up with a sense of excitement. I look at the faces of people driving to work in the morning and few look happy. It is of interest to me to reconnect and tune in and begin to align with my childlike joy for the life experience.

Not from that vulnerable childlike place where my parents could have controlled me through spanking, or grounding or punishment. But from an empowered place as an adult where I can pursue what calls me without fear of being told to "sit down, shut up and be a good girl".
